Next summer I will be participating in a humanitarian aid project on the island of Fiji and I am requesting your support. I will be working alongside the members of small village to install bathrooms in homes without flush toilets or running water. The organization I have chosen to help, Humanitarian Experience for Youth (HEFY), works to organize service expeditions for Mormon youth. You can visit the Humanitarian Experience for Youth website at www.HEFY.org to find out more about the program. The cost to send one volunteer on the HEFY 16-day program, which includes travel, food, lodging, transportation and building materials is $2,650. All volunteers are responsible for covering their own expenses, but HEFY will reduce the cost of the trip for those who reach their fundraising goals.
